PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adam Murth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oschino Swift (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murth comes to the cage accompanied by Enemy. Swift is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tupac Shakur - Never had a Friend Like Me. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murth walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Swift.

Swift ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Murth moves away.
Murth walks into a left hand.
Murth slips a straight right by Swift.
Swift throws a solid leg kick but Murth takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Swift.
Swift smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Murth lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Swift looks to throw the jab but Murth is out of range.

Oschino Swift seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swift cracks Murth with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Swift counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Murth thinking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Swift throws a lazy right hand but Murth sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Murth stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Swift.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swift is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Swift looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Murth with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Swift throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Murth stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Murth shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Swift napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Murth postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Swift is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Murth asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Murth has hold of Swift's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Swift tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Murth cranks the arm and Swift screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Swift, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
