Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Mageramsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Said Balsara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Joseph Mageramsky has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Joseph Mageramsky seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Said Balsara! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mageramsky tries to clinch up. Mageramsky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mageramsky throws a right and a left that Balsara avoids nicely. Mageramsky is looking to clinch but Balsara is avoiding it.

It looks like Said Balsara has been cut. Balsara wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Balsara has eaten all the pies! Mageramsky gets through Balsara's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Mageramsky trying to stall but Balsara improves his position.

Balsara looks gassed! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mageramsky lands a right hand. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Mageramsky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mageramsky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mageramsky trying to control the position from guard on top but Balsara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That's one minute gone in the round. Mageramsky postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mageramsky drops back looking for a leg! Balsara is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Balsara manages to kick Mageramsky off! Mageramsky jumps back into Balsara's guard. Balsara managing to control the position. Mageramsky passes easily into side control. Nice work. Balsara tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mageramsky is landing with strikes from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balsara is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Mageramsky seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Balsara's chin but Balsara turns very nicely into Mageramsky's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Balsara.
Balsara is pushing down on Mageramsky's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mageramsky is fighting to maintain full guard but Balsara has managed to sneak the leg through. Mageramsky wants to control but Balsara is keeping busy.

Balsara wants to control the pace but Mageramsky is squirming around nicely. Mageramsky can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mageramsky regains half guard. Mageramsky actively working from the bottom here. Balsara wants to work for an arm triangle but Mageramsky is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Balsara trying to pass the guard but Mageramsky defending well. Mageramsky looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The fighters are battling for position here. Mageramsky manages to regain full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joseph Mageramsky dominated that round. The cut man is working on Said Balsara's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Balsara tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mageramsky is able to avoid easily. Balsara shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mageramsky as he jumps to the side. Balsara shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mageramsky cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mageramsky gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Balsara tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Joseph Mageramsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Said Balsara. A bit of stalling here from Mageramsky.

Balsara is refusing to be controlled, as Mageramsky sits in half guard. Balsara is looking to control Mageramsky's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Balsara avoid being mounted? Balsara keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mageramsky is just content to waste time from the top position. Balsara takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Mageramsky pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Balsara is keeping the position for now. Mageramsky works over Balsara with some ground and pound from guard. Balsara pulls Mageramsky in close to prevent any damage. Mageramsky trying to control but Balsara is working from the bottom. Mageramsky has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Balsara is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Balsara is breathing heavily. Mageramsky wants to control from the top but Balsara keeps moving. Mageramsky's corner is telling him to maintain position. Balsara controlling the position. Mageramsky slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Joseph Mageramsky has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Mageramsky is trying hard to land a takedown here. Balsara sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mageramsky is looking to clinch. Mageramsky doesn't manage to clinch there - Balsara circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mageramsky enables Balsara to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mageramsky manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Mageramsky looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Balsara is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Balsara avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Balsara gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mageramsky tries to close the distance and clinch but Balsara swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mageramsky slaps away a takedown attempt from Balsara, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mageramsky tries to close the distance and clinch up but Balsara swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mageramsky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Balsara paws at him with a jab and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mageramsky fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Balsara, pushing him back against the cage. Mageramsky lands a left hand.
Mageramsky scores with a nice hook to the head. A shot in the inside from Mageramsky. Balsara tries to pull guard but Mageramsky holds him up against the cage and eventually Balsara drops back down to his feet.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Mageramsky. Mageramsky lands a right hand that snaps the head of Balsara backwards. Mageramsky throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Balsaras head. Balsara goes for a takedown attempt but Mageramsky pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Balsara shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Mageramsky gets full guard. Mageramsky keeping full guard, as Balsara tries to pass. Mageramsky has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Balsara can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Balsara takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mageramsky keeping moving, preventing Balsara from controlling successfully. Mageramsky working for submissions but it's allowed Balsara to get to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mageramsky is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Balsara pulls his head out easily. Balsara tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Mageramsky. Mageramsky is looking for a sweep. Balsara is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mageramsky is not content to let Balsara control the position. Mageramsky is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Balsara jumps into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mageramsky can't do much from the bottom here. Balsara trying to control the action but Mageramsky is working from the bottom. Mageramsky is looking to reverse the position. Balsara taking a breather here. Mageramsky is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Balsara is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The referee warns Mageramsky that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

And that's the end of the fight! Said Balsara comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mageramsky has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
