The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dashoo stuffs the takedown attempt from Cavite. Cavite gets slowly back to his feet.
Cavite is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dashoo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cavite manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dashoo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cavite's head.
Cavite is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dashoo is controlling him.
Dashoo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Cavite will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dashoo tries to free his leg and advance position but Cavite is retaining full guard.
Dashoo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dashoo has gone for a leg lock! Cavite slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dashoo's guard.
Dashoo is pulling down on Cavite's head to control his posture.
Dashoo throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Dashoo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cavite is looking to stand up but Dashoo won't let him.
Dashoo is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Cavite frees his head nicely. Oh but Dashoo has switched to an armbar! Cavite is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
