Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei AK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fredrick Moller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei AK!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fredrick Moller!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
AK throws an overhand right that lands on Moller's shoulder, as Moller tries to avoid the shot.
Sloppy strikes from AK. Those never looked like landing.
Moller avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for AK, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

AK throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and AK takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
AK throws a right hand that Moller ducks under and follows up with a left that Moller also avoids with ease.
Moller defending well as AK loads up on a big left hand.
AK looks to score with a jab to the body but Moller is just out of range.
Moller dodges the punch combination from AK.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
AK keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Moller.

AK throws a series of punches but Moller avoids them all with ease.
AK doesn't manage to clinch there - Moller circles away.
AK shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moller sprawls well. Moller wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. AK gets slowly back to his feet.

Moller throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sergei AK seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moller walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
AK takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Moller moves out of range as AK strikes.
Moller clobbers AK with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
AK shoots in but Moller avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Moller gets a clinch.
Moller has AK pushed against the cage.
Moller blocks the elbow strike.
Moller wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but AK has him pressed against the cage.
AK tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Moller just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergei AK. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Moller's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
AK tries to clinch
and Moller counters with a left to the body.

Moller jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.


It looks like Sergei AK has been cut.
AK fails with a takedown attempt.

and Moller counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Moller gets caught flat footed, as AK shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Moller holds on and takes a little breather.
AK throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Moller wants to stand up but AK is controlling him.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells AK's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
AK missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

AK drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Moller dives on top into guard.

AK wants to sweep but no luck.
Moller content to stall in guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

AK has an active guard here but Moller has managed to pass into half guard.
AK makes his way to full guard. A much better position for AK.
Moller wanted to stand there but AK had control of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
AK keeping moving, preventing Moller from controlling successfully.

Moller got a little sloppy there for a moment and AK has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Moller has managed to get both his arms back between AK's legs - danger averted.

Moller avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

AK is looking for a triangle but Moller pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fredrick Moller dominated that round.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Moller throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sergei AK is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Moller throws the left hand but AK avoids the punch easily.
Moller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but AK manages to avoid it.
AK wants to clinch.
AK shoots and misses
and Moller counters with a straight right hand.
Moller fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
AK falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Moller to counter with a crisp jab.
AK tries to bum rush Moller with a series of wild strikes but Moller uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
AK tries to clinch there but Moller circles away.
Moller swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
AK throws out a loose jab but Moller uses good head movement to avoid it.
AK ducks right into an uppercut from Moller.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Moller gets in close and instigates a clinch.
AK goes for a takedown in the clinch but Moller prevents it.
Moller dodges an elbow strike from AK.
AK tries for a takedown but Moller manages to get underhooks.

Moller lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of AK backwards.
A frustrated look appears on Moller's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Moller throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
AK looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Moller drops AK with a beautiful combination! AK stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Moller is looking for the KO!

AK is trying hard to land a takedown here. Moller sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Moller is pressed up against the cage. AK has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Moller down to the mat. Moller avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

AK closes the distance looking to clinch
and Moller counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


Sergei AK's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
AK fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Moller throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Moller circles away from the clinch attempt
and Moller counters with a right hand to the body.
AK takes a jab right on the kisser.

AK bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Jeez, Sergei AK's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
