Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Remy Bonjasky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Grimaldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonjasky comes to the cage accompanied by The man with the harmonica. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Remy Bonjasky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Grimaldi! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bonjasky shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grimaldi as he jumps to the side. Grimaldi shoots in for a takedown but Bonjasky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A punch combination from Grimaldi misses. Grimaldi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Grimaldi prevents Bonjasky from getting back to his feet. Grimaldi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mike Grimaldi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Grimaldi. Grimaldi misses with a few strikes there.
Bonjasky looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Grimaldi makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Bonjasky closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Grimaldi quickly recovers to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bonjasky trying to control from Grimaldi's half guard. Grimaldi has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Bonjasky postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grimaldi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bonjasky, into his guard. Grimaldi showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Grimaldi stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grimaldi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Grimaldi misses with a straight left. Grimaldi fails to land the takedown. Remy Bonjasky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Grimaldi. Grimaldi jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bonjasky has his takedown stuffed and Grimaldi counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Still in half guard, Grimaldi seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bonjasky won't allow Grimaldi to pass to mount. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Grimaldi in particular looking to stall. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Grimaldi was stalling too much, according to the referee. Nice sprawl there from Bonjasky as Grimaldi shoots in. Grimaldi looks gassed! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bonjasky shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Grimaldi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bonjasky won't be happy with that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Grimaldi dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bonjasky moves into the clinch. Bonjasky drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Grimaldi gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Grimaldi has had enough of the clinch but Bonjasky keeps him there for the moment. Grimaldi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grimaldi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Grimaldi scores with a sloppy right hand. Bonjasky should have avoided that one. Mike Grimaldi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grimaldi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bonjasky tries to lock up and control but Grimaldi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Grimaldi controlling from mount. Let's hope that Grimaldi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Grimaldi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mike Grimaldi. Bonjasky with a poor takedown and Grimaldi counters with a straight right hand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Grimaldi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bonjasky shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Grimaldi counters with a takedown into side control. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Remy Bonjasky. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Grimaldi in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bonjasky prevents Grimaldi from moving into mount. Grimaldi controls the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Grimaldi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Grimaldi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bonjasky sprawls well. Bonjasky wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Grimaldi gets slowly back to his feet. Bonjasky with a lazy takedown attempt so Grimaldi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Bonjasky can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Grimaldi controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grimaldi stands and steps away. Bonjasky gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Bonjasky tries a low kick but Grimaldi avoids it. Grimaldi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bonjasky swivels and escapes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nice takedown defense from Bonjasky. No joy for Grimaldi on that attempt. Bonjasky fails with the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Grimaldi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Grimaldi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Grimaldi lands in his opponent's guard. Grimaldi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Grimaldi gets to his feet - Bonjasky follows without any prompting. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bonjasky gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Grimaldi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Grimaldi.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bonjasky being controlled here, momentarily. Grimaldi gets to his feet. Bonjasky looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Grimaldi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Grimaldi fails to land the takedown. Grimaldi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Remy Bonjasky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grimaldi drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grimaldi looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bonjasky looking for a guillotine here but Grimaldi defends easily.
Grimaldi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bonjasky, up you get! Grimaldi takes the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grimaldi gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bonjasky.
Grimaldi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bonjasky takes one to the chin there. Bonjasky misses with a takedown attempt and Grimaldi counters with a left and a right that stings Bonjasky.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grimaldi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nice cross by Grimaldi. Remy Bonjasky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Grimaldi with a poor takedown and Bonjasky counters with a big head kick but Grimaldi shrugs it off. Grimaldi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bonjasky but Bonjasky pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bonjasky has his takedown stuffed and Grimaldi counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Grimaldi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Grimaldi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
