The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samuelsen blocks a head kick by Jackson.
Jackson really is a fat lump.
Samuelsen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Jericho Jackson has been cut.
Jackson throws an off balance right hand
and Samuelsen counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Samuelsen is stalling in the full guard.
Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position.

Samuelsen cracks Jackson with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Oh Jackson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Samuelsen in side control, throwing shots but Jackson defends.
Samuelsen tries to score with some ground and pound. Jackson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson dodges the ground and pound from Samuelsen.
Samuelsen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jackson, who protects the arm well.
Samuelsen tries to score with some ground and pound. Jackson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Samuelsen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Samuelsen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Samuelsen postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Samuelsen tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Samuelsen throws an overhand right that lands on Jackson's shoulder, as Jackson tries to avoid the shot.
Samuelsen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Samuelsen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Samuelsen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Samuelsen looks gassed!
Samuelsen throws a jab but it's blocked by Jackson.
Samuelsen tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jericho Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rex Ronny Samuelsen.
Samuelsen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jackson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Samuelsen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jackson.
Jackson stuffs the takedown attempt from Samuelsen. Samuelsen gets slowly back to his feet.
Jackson seems to have got his legs back now.
Samuelsen defending well as Jackson loads up on a big left hand.

Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Samuelsen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jackson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Samuelsen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackson's back!
Jackson grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Samuelsen is persistently looking for the submission but Jackson is defending it well.
Samuelsen gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Samuelsen has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Jackson.

Jackson trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Jericho Jackson's cut is getting worse.

Samuelsen is hanging on to Jackson's back as he tries to escape.
Samuelsen is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Jackson up.
Samuelsen lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Jackson hold on?!
Jericho Jackson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Samuelsen avoiding Jackson 's attempts to control his hands.
Jackson is trying to break free.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Samuelsen on the ground.
Samuelsen is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Samuelsen gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Samuelsen gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Samuelsen apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Jeez, Jericho Jackson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jericho Jackson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rex Ronny Samuelsen!
