Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Archibald Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Archibald Anderson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Archibald Anderson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Mir!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson lands with a shot to the body.
Anderson is looking to slow Mir down with leg kicks.

Anderson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Mir sprawling to the canvas. Anderson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Mir hang on?


It looks like Jake Mir has been cut.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mir is concentrating on defense, preventing Anderson from advancing position.

Anderson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mir sees it coming and defends easily.

Mir really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Anderson is controlling the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Still in half guard, Anderson seems content to control.
Mir is in trouble now - Anderson has advanced to mount!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Poor strikes thrown by Anderson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mir can do anything to dispel that myth.
Anderson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Anderson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mir is looking to escape.
Anderson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mir because Anderson loaded up on that one.

Anderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Anderson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Anderson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Mir wants to control but Anderson is having none of it.
Anderson controlling from the full mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mir is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Archibald Anderson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jake Mir's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Mir tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Archibald Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson scores with a jab to the body.
Anderson lands a hook that stumbles Mir back into the cage. Anderson follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Mir to the canvas! Anderson pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Mir has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Archibald Anderson!
