Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay de Borg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Stocks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). de Borg's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, By The Way - Young Jeezy. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay de Borg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Stocks! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! de Borg swings for the body but Stocks moves out of range.
de Borg connects with a high kick. Stocks darts in and clinches de Borg up against the cage. de Borg wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stocks cracks de Borg with a nice body shot. Stocks stops a takedown attempt from de Borg.
Stocks drops to a knee looking for a takedown but de Borg gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Stocks is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Stocks wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
de Borg fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Stocks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
de Borg tries to clinch there but Stocks circles away.
Stocks avoids a punch combination nicely.
de Borg moves into the clinch. de Borg is pressed up against the cage. Stocks has hold of a leg and is looking to drag de Borg down to the mat. de Borg avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jay de Borg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Stocks. Stocks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Stocks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
de Borg closes the distance but Stocks moves to the side and Stocks counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Stocks gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from de Borg.
That's one minute gone in the round. de Borg has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stocks avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Stocks escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
de Borg misses with a jab to the body
and Stocks counters with a nice double leg into side control. de Borg won't be happy with that. de Borg can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stocks decides to take the fight back to the feet. Stocks rushes de Borg and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Stocks trying to land knees to the body.
Stocks drags the fight down to the ground.
de Borg trying to control the position from guard on top but Stocks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stocks trying to keep a closed guard but de Borg is proving a slippery customer.
de Borg connects with a couple of short punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stocks is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst de Borg is controlling him. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stocks can do anything to dispel that myth. Stocks looks gassed! de Borg is looking to stand up but Stocks won't let him. de Borg wants to control from the top but Stocks keeps moving. de Borg chips away with some ground and pound. Stocks keeping moving, preventing de Borg from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. de Borg misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Stocks.
Stocks drives through and clinches with de Borg against the cage.

This has been an exciting period of action! Stocks has clasped his hands together around de Borg's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. de Borg is looking to regain half guard here but Stocks keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Stocks stalls from top position. de Borg is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Stocks asserts his dominance and retains side control. de Borg tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stocks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Stocks wants to control but de Borg is keeping him busy. de Borg is trying to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. de Borg throws a wild body kick that Stocks sees coming a mile off. Stocks shoots in for a takedown but de Borg shows good takedown defense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Stocks tries to clinch and de Borg counters with a three punch combo that has Stocks backing up. Stocks nods at de Borg to acknowledge the strikes. Stocks tries to clinch up but de Borg circles away and keeps his distance. de Borg stuffs the takedown. de Borg misses with a takedown and Stocks counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Stocks trying to control the pace. Stocks is looking to take a break and control but de Borg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. de Borg tries to get to full guard but Stocks has control of the leg. de Borg slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Stocks must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. de Borg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Stocks wants to stand but de Borg has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Stocks dominated that round. That's time! de Borg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
de Borg doesn't succeed with the takedown and Stocks moves into the clinch. Stocks drags the fight down to the ground.

Stocks looking to hit a scissor sweep but de Borg is one step ahead there. de Borg throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stocks has a closed guard, preventing de Borg from standing up. de Borg stands up from Stocks's guard - de Borg perhaps looking for a knockout. de Borg swats away the attempt to clinch by Stocks. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stocks scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Stocks trying to control the action but de Borg is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stocks stands up and beckons de Borg to his feet. Stocks tries to clinch there but de Borg circles away.
Stocks fails with the takedown and de Borg counters with a single leg into guard. Stocks didn't expect that. Stocks wants to sweep here but de Borg controlling him for the moment. Stocks is trying to keep de Borg in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. de Borg stands up and waves to Stocks to follow him. de Borg closes the distance but Stocks moves to the side and Stocks counters with a left to the body. de Borg tries for a takedown but Stocks circles away easily and Stocks counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for de Borg! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. de Borg tries to lock up and control but Stocks gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Stocks landing strikes from the mount and de Borg is in trouble! Stocks wants to finish this one by submission but de Borg is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Stocks. de Borg manages to regain half guard. Good work. Martin Stocks has got the better of the ground game so far. de Borg tries to get to full guard but Stocks has control of the leg. de Borg kicks Stocks off and gets back to his feet.

de Borg goes for a takedown attempt but Stocks pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay de Borg. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stocks looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for de Borg! Stocks is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, de Borg has managed to escape the submission attempt.
de Borg might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Stocks prevents de Borg from getting the reversal. Stocks sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. de Borg tries to hold on but Stocks postures up. Stocks is standing up, even though he is in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. de Borg tries for a takedown but Stocks circles away easily and Stocks counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Stocks. Stocks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
de Borg with a poor takedown and Stocks counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for de Borg! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! de Borg really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Stocks punishing his opponent with strikes. Stocks lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
de Borg is rocked! Stocks controlling the pace for now. Oh de Borg is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! de Borg really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stocks manages to capitalize on a mistake by de Borg to take his back! de Borg seems to have got his legs back now. Stocks is trying to stick to de Borg's back but de Borg is turning into Stocks. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Stocks's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by de Borg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Stocks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
de Borg fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stocks sprawls well initially but de Borg persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Stocks trying to control but de Borg postures up.

Jay de Borg is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. de Borg closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - de Borg lands in his opponent's guard. de Borg missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Stocks keeping full guard, as de Borg tries to pass.

Stocks is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. de Borg throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Stocks wants to get back to full guard. de Borg missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Stocks is positioning himself well to prevent de Borg advancing to mount. de Borg wants to take a breather but Stocks is having none of it. Stocks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. de Borg is working away from the top position though. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Stocks looks for the body kick but de Borg saw that one coming. Horrible takedown by Stocks or perhaps it was just good defense by de Borg which made him look bad. No luck for de Borg with that takedown attempt. Stocks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stocks lands in his opponent's guard. Stocks gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. de Borg tries for a takedown but Stocks circles away easily and Stocks holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Stocks is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. de Borg successfully pulls guard.
de Borg is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Stocks tries to get to full guard but de Borg has control of the leg. Stocks wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. de Borg is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Stocks misses with some strikes from the bottom.

and Stocks counters with a nice double leg into half guard. de Borg moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. de Borg is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Stocks content to stall in guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jay de Borg has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! de Borg working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Stocks has passed into half guard!

Stocks postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for de Borg to stand up. Stocks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jay de Borg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Stocks. de Borg with a poor takedown and Stocks counters with a series of strikes. de Borg will be more careful next time no doubt. Stocks takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stocks gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Stocks keeping full guard, as de Borg tries to pass. de Borg pushes down on Stocks's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jay de Borg. I think Stocks has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
