Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Jaeger! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Sandusky! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sandusky fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jaeger avoids it really well and circles away. Sandusky misses with a wild body shot. Jaeger walks into a jab. Sandusky takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Sandusky tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A cross from Jaeger lands. Sandusky throws a body punch but Jaeger moves out of range. Sandusky shoots in for a takedown but Jaeger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jaeger throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Jaeger fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sandusky, pushing him back against the cage. Jaeger dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jaeger just misses with a elbow thrown towards Sandusky's brow. Jaeger is working for takedown but Sandusky is calmly controlling the position for now. Sandusky fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Travis Jaeger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Sandusky. Jaeger is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sandusky is defending well for now. Sandusky digs a right hand underneath Jaeger's ribcage. Jaeger let out a lung full of air as it connected. Sandusky fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Sandusky throws a looping overhand right but Jaeger ducks down to avoid it. Jaeger tries to sprawl but Sandusky drives through with a takedown into half guard. Jaeger is looking to control Sandusky's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jaeger avoid being mounted? Sandusky wants to pass to mount but Jaeger is defending the position. Jaeger is trying to maintain the position but Sandusky is very close to passing his half guard. Jaeger keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jaeger moves into full guard.

Jaeger wants to control the action here but instead Sandusky manages to pass to full mount! Sandusky looking to control but Jaeger is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jaeger is desperately trying to improve his position but Sandusky has a good base and remains in mount. Jaeger's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Sandusky trying to control but Jaeger is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jaeger tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jaeger tries to lock up and control but Sandusky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A combination from Jaeger does no damage. Jaeger throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sandusky. Sandusky misses the shot to the body. A swing and a miss from Sandusky. Travis Jaeger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sandusky just misses with a punch to the body.
Jaeger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sandusky moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Sandusky throws a big shot that misses. Horrible takedown by Sandusky or perhaps it was just good defense by Jaeger which made him look bad. Jaeger tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sandusky swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sandusky fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jaeger throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sandusky tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jaeger is in Sandusky's guard. Jaeger throwing strikes from guard but Sandusky blocks nicely. Jaeger wants to control from the top but Sandusky keeps moving. Jaeger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Sandusky utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jaeger scoring with punches to the head and body. Sandusky working for a triangle but Jaeger defends it easily.
Jaeger wants to control from the top but Sandusky keeps moving. Sandusky working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jaeger. Jaeger lands a couple of decent looking shots. Sandusky is trying to keep Jaeger in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jaeger lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sandusky down.
Jaeger scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Sandusky to see if he's OK. Jaeger throws a strike aimed at the side of Sandusky's head but Sandusky avoids it well. Jaeger working away. Jaeger working the ground and pound. Sandusky is looking for a sweep. A bit of a lull in the action here. Jaeger is looking to take a break and control but Sandusky is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jaeger misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Travis Jaeger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sandusky perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Sandusky moves nicely into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sandusky working away. Jaeger is not content to let Sandusky control the position. Jaeger taking a bit of punishment here - Sandusky scoring with strikes. Jaeger gets back to half guard. Jaeger is looking to work some ground and pound but Sandusky has wrist control. Jaeger drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jaeger jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jaeger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sandusky has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sandusky darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Sandusky works his foot free and advances to mount. Sandusky can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jaeger is looking to escape. Sandusky avoids the attempt from Jaeger to control. Jaeger keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Sandusky is pulling down on Jaeger's head to control his posture. Jaeger working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jaeger distracts Sandusky with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaeger is in close to Sandusky's body, working some short punches and elbows. Sandusky looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jaeger would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jaeger slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jaeger throwing strikes but Sandusky manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Sandusky lands a decent elbow from side control. Jaeger is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Jaeger can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sandusky is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jaeger has escaped the position, nice work there. Jaeger wants to control but Sandusky postures up. Jaeger is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jaeger is pushing Sandusky's head away, looking to escape. Sandusky manages to hold on to the position though. Sandusky cracks Jaeger with a big elbow. Sandusky trying to control the action but Jaeger is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Gary Sandusky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sandusky has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
