Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gage R (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Fontana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gage R has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gage R! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Fontana! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! R throws a right and a left that Fontana avoids nicely. R lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. The fighters circling - R throws out the jab but it was never going to land. R lands a jab. Fontana swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fontana misses with a body kick. Fontana shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as R sprawls well. R wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fontana gets slowly back to his feet. R throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Fontana counters with a two punch combo. A low kick from R misses and Fontana counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. R misses with a double jab.
Nice takedown defense from R. No joy for Fontana on that attempt. Fontana throws a left and a right that both miss
and R counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Fontana tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. R manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Fontana takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. R misses with a double jab.
R throws a lazy body kick and Fontana counters with a lovely shot to the body. A punch lands to the side of Fontana 's head but he takes it in his stride. R looks to land a left hand but Fontana moved out of range nicely.
R tries to sprawl but Fontana drives through with a takedown into half guard. Fontana wants to pass to mount but R is defending the position. R moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. R is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. R throwing shots but Fontana is blocking nicely. Fontana on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. R prevents Fontana from improving his position. R wants to take a breather but Fontana is having none of it. Fontana trying to control but R postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fontana tries to kick R off in order to stand up. R Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. R has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fontana is looking to reverse the position. Fontana looks gassed! Fontana takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
R creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. This has been an exciting period of action! R is chipping away with strikes.
R landing strikes. R working the ground and pound from side control.

Fontana is rocked! R scores with a couple of short elbows. Fontana is still in real trouble! Can R finish him? R landing strikes.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
R looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. R in side control lands a decent elbow. R controls the position. Fontana seems to have recovered his senses. R scores with punches from side control.
R is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fontana knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. R landing a few strikes. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. R in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. A lull in the action here as R stalls from top position. Fontana taking a bit of punishment here - R scoring with strikes.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. R working the head with strikes. Fontana tries to escape but R is in control. Fontana is looking to reverse the position. R working the ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
R tries for a kimura but Fontana is defending well. R cracks Fontana with a big elbow. Fontana is looking to regain half guard here but R keeps moving and retains side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. R scoring with punches and elbows. R wants to control but Fontana is keeping him busy. R grinds an elbow into Fontana's temple. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gage R dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
R explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. R slips a jab from Fontana. R misses with a kick to the body.
R throws a head kick that misses. R throws a series of punches but Fontana avoids them all with ease. Fontana has his takedown stuffed
and R decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fontana's guard. R looking to pass the guard.
Fontana is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. R is aware though and is defending well. Fontana looking for a sweep. Not yet Fontana, not yet. R distracts Fontana with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. R passes Fontana's left leg - he's now in half guard. Fontana is breathing heavily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. R wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fontana keeps working. Fontana is trying to defend against the ground and pound but R scores with a couple of nice shots. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. R lands a nice short elbow. R is looking to take a break and control but Fontana is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. R lands with a punch from half guard. R thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. R drops an elbow to the side of Fontana's head.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Fontana is not content to let R control the position. Fontana taking some punishment here, with R in his half guard. Gage R overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fontana keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Fontana slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. R loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. R chips away with some ground and pound. R is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fontana can do to turn this around? Fontana is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. R is in close to Fontana's body, working some short punches and elbows. R wants to pass the guard but Fontana is keeping the position. R scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. R trying to control the position from guard on top but Fontana is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. R chips away with some ground and pound. R prevents Fontana from getting back to his feet. Fontana keeping moving, preventing R from controlling successfully. R sitting in guard, not really doing much. R distracts Fontana with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. R postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Fontana working for a triangle but R defends it easily.
R advances to half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. R working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. R is trying to control the action in half guard but Fontana is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. R has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. R lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
R looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. R trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. R putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gage R dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Nice sprawl there from R as Fontana shoots in. Fontana misses with a takedown attempt and R counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Fontana! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
