The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cane closes the distance and clinches up with Gunner, looking for a takedown. Cane pushes Gunner against the cage but Gunner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Louis Cane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cane fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gunner tries for a takedown but Cane circles away easily
and Cane counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Cane is keen to just control but Gunner is a slippery customer.
