The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazunga throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mazunga might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Mazunga really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Black. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Black has his foot on Mazunga's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mazunga works his way back into a safe position though.
Mazunga must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vincent Black.
I think Mazunga has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
