Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luis Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nash Montes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luis Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nash Montes! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montes scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though. Montes throws a right hand that Gracie ducks under and follows up with a left that Gracie also avoids with ease. Montes fails to land with a series of punches.
Gracie moves out of range as Montes throws a body kick.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Montes.
Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A slapping leg kick lands for Montes.
Gracie is breathing heavily. Nice sprawl there from Montes as Gracie shoots in. Gracie shoots in and drives through. Montes sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gracie fails with the takedown. Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Montes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montes cracks a nice hook into Gracie's ribs. Montes misses the shot to the body. Gracie has Montes up against the cage in a clinch.
Montes scores with a shoulder strike. Gracie tightens his grip and picks Montes up, before dumping him to the ground. Montes manages to land in guard. Gracie throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gracie scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Gracie sitting in guard here, content to control. Gracie wants to control from the top but Montes keeps moving. Montes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montes keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Montes looking for a sweep. Not yet Montes, not yet. Montes trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Montes gets caught flat footed, as Gracie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Gracie postures up in Montes's guard and throws a big left but Montes blocks it. Montes keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Montes has Gracie pulled in close to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie with a flurry of punches that miss. Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Montes keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Montes manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Montes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gracie wants to control but Montes is having none of it. Gracie is trying desperately to improve position. Montes wants to control the pace but Gracie is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nash Montes will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montes lands a nice uppercut. with the fighters clinched against the cage, Montes creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Luis Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Montes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie. Montes is breathing heavily. Gracie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Montes to the mat! Montes manages to get full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Gracie gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Montes keeps working. Montes can't do much from the bottom here. Gracie throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Montes is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gracie connects with a decent elbow. You can see the frustration on Montes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Montes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gracie kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Montes is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Gracie shoots in but Montes avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gracie keeps the fight on the outside. Gracie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Montes.
Nice sprawl there from Montes as Gracie shoots in. Montes throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gracie. Gracie scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montes is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard. Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Montes has managed to free his arm - good work. Montes is trying to control but can't.
Montes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gracie tries to pass to full mount but Montes defends it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Montes's temple. Gracie is tying to control. Montes wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Montes is trying to control but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Montes looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range. Gracie fails with the takedown. Gracie shoots in but Montes avoids the takedown attempt easily. Montes gets in close and instigates a clinch. Gracie blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Luis Gracie dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Gracie drops his hands momentarily and Montes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Gracie feints and as Montes raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Montes trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is really struggling to control Montes but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A nice combination there by Montes.
Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Montes's waist but Montes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side. Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Montes tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Montes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gracie looks for a takedown but Montes sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Montes swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montes tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it. Gracie tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Montes counters with a right hand to the body. Gracie has his takedown stuffed and Montes counters with a left to the body. Montes misses the shot to the body. Gracie keeps the fight on the outside. Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Montes counters with a one-two to the body. Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Montes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Montes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gracie, pushing him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montes with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Montes scores with a shoulder strike. Montes taking a breather. A short left from Montes. A short body shot lands from Montes as the two fighters clinch.
Come on Montes - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Montes pushes Gracie back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Montes scores with a hook to the body. A short right from Montes on the inside. Montes lands a knee to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from Montes. Montes lands a body shot. Montes tries to land a knee to the head but Gracie blocks with his arms.
Gracie tries to score a body lock takedown but Montes shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Montes has Gracie pressed against the cage.
Montes lands with a right to the head. Gracie jumps guard but Montes stands there with Gracie around his waist. Gracie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Nash Montes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Montes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
