Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lester Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lester Green could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Zach Palmer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lester Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zach Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Green connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Palmer crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Green - the referee stops the clock and Palmer gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Green. Palmer manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Palmer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Palmer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Palmer.
Lester Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zach Palmer.
Palmer tries for a takedown but Green sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Palmer enables Green to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Palmer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Palmer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Green pushes down on Palmer's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Green content to control rather than advance.
Palmer has hold of Green's hands but Green slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Green drops an elbow to the side of Palmer's head.
Green working the head and body with strikes.
Green is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Palmer is pressing down on Green's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green landing with the ground and pound.
Palmer keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully.
Palmer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Green controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Green is working Palmer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Green working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Palmer's head.
Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Green trying to control but Palmer is working from the bottom.
Green postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Green stands up over Palmer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Green distracts Palmer with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Palmer keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Palmer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Palmer looks gassed!
Green works over Palmer with some ground and pound from guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Green works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Green controlling the action here.
Green working over Palmer with some ground and pound. Palmer looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Palmer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Green scores with a couple of nice shots.
Green lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Green lands a nice short elbow.
Still in half guard, Green seems content to control.
Green seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are battling for position here. Palmer manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Green content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Green with a nice head shot there.
Green with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Green postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.


Palmer is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Palmer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Green defends well.
Palmer is still in real trouble! Can Green finish him?
Green makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Green postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Palmer seems to have recovered his senses.
Green passes Palmer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Green drops an elbow to the side of Palmer's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lester Green dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Green sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Palmer to the ground! Green dives into full mount looking to finish!
Green loads up with a big shot that hurts Palmer! He's pulled Green in close but Green has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Palmer survive? More strikes from Green and Palmer is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Lester Green!
