Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Ace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ace is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Heroes to us. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Ace! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russo tries to clinch up. Russo tries to clinch but Ace is having none of it. Ace misses with a head kick.

Ryan Russo dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Russo wants to clinch and Ace counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ace trying to control the position from guard on top but Russo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ace is in close to Russo's body, working some short punches and elbows. Ace sitting in guard here, content to control.

Russo looks to clinch and Ace counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ace throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Ace wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Russo, who protects the arm well. Ace is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ace tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ace wants to control but Russo is keeping him busy. A lull in the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Ace showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Russo tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ace counters by moving into the clinch. Ace is trying to drag Russo to the mat but Russo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Russo lands an elbow just above Ace 's eye.

Ace takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Russo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ace.
Ace goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's one minute gone in the round. Russo lands a nice elbow. A head punch blocked on the inside by Russo. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Russo obliges. Ace tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Russo smiles and moves away.
Russo tries to clinch but Ace moves away and Ace counters with a takedown into side control. Russo wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Ace in side control, throwing shots but Russo defends. Russo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ace is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ace remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

He's almost out here... but no, Ace gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ace decides to take the fight back to the feet. Russo closes the distance but Ace moves to the side and Ace counters with a nice double leg into side control. Russo won't be happy with that. Ace decides to take the fight back to the feet. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Ace comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ace has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
