Leznar comes to the cage accompanied by The Champ by Ghostface Killah. Schlock Leznar has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Rosenthal ! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosenthal lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rosenthal tries to clinch up. Rosenthal is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Leznar throws a low kick but Rosenthal avoids it. Rosenthal swings for the body but Leznar moves out of range.

Leznar with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Leznar throws a body kick that misses. Rosenthal stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Leznar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rosenthal tries to avoid it but Leznar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rosenthal to the ground. Rosenthal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Leznar takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Rosenthal throws a lazy right hand but Leznar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosenthal tries to clinch there but Leznar circles away.
Rosenthal tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leznar was well out of range. Poor timing from Rosenthal . Rosenthal with a nice cross. Leznar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Leznar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rosenthal does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Leznar wants to pass to mount but Rosenthal is defending the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rosenthal can do anything to dispel that myth. Leznar is trying to control the action in half guard but Rosenthal is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Leznar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rosenthal keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Leznar in particular looking to stall. Leznar drops an elbow to the side of Rosenthal 's head. Rosenthal taking some punishment here, with Leznar in his half guard. Rosenthal wants to get back to his feet.
Leznar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Leznar is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Rosenthal is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosenthal is staying active underneath Leznar, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leznar is pressing down on Rosenthal 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rosenthal is holding on for now. Rosenthal has his hands clasped together around Leznar's back. He's all about the action. Leznar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rosenthal 's head. Leznar wants to pass the guard but Rosenthal is defending well. Leznar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rosenthal keeps working. Rosenthal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Leznar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rosenthal tries to clinch up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rosenthal tries to close the distance and clinch but Leznar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Leznar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rosenthal . Leznar cracks the inside of Rosenthal 's front leg. Rosenthal moves into range and clinches up with Leznar. A head punch blocked on the inside by Leznar. Rosenthal fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Leznar blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A nice left hand lands by Leznar.
It looks like Frank Rosenthal has been cut. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Leznar. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rosenthal tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Leznar blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Rosenthal throws a punch but it's blocked by Leznar. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rosenthal . Leznar swings away with an uppercut that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Schlock Leznar will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Frank Rosenthal 's cut. That's time! Leznar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rosenthal tries to clinch up. Leznar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rosenthal . A jab from Rosenthal misses. Leznar connects with a body shot. Rosenthal takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A nice combination there by Rosenthal .
That kick from Leznar tenderised Rosenthal 's leg. Rosenthal is trying to keep his angry face on. Some wild striking there from Rosenthal .

Leznar is looking to slow Rosenthal down with leg kicks.
That's one minute gone in the round. A combination from Leznar does no damage. Rosenthal is looking to clinch. Leznar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Leznar thows a body kick. Rosenthal tries to catch it but that hurt him. Rosenthal is breathing heavily. Leznar chopping away at his opponent's legs.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rosenthal moves out of range of the body kick. Leznar misses with a looping right. Leznar wants to slow Rosenthal down by chopping away at his legs. Leznar scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jab, jab by Leznar - just one landing. Rosenthal blocks a head kick by Leznar.

Frank Rosenthal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Leznar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rosenthal ! Leznar lands a big elbow. Leznar looking to control but Rosenthal is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Leznar throwing strikes here but Rosenthal is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosenthal is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Leznar looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rosenthal is in all sorts of trouble here.
