Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trung Lu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by . Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lu shoots in looking for a takedown but Johnson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lu takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.
Lu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lu gets slowly back to his feet.
Jeremy Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trung Lu.

Lu has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Lu closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent Lu getting side control.

Johnson winds up and cracks Lu with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Johnson wants to take a breather but Lu is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lu is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson is taking a breather. Lu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Lu has hold of Johnson's hands but Johnson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Johnson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Lu swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Lu has his takedown stuffed
and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lu's guard now.

Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lu is looking to stand but Lu has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Johnson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Lu wants to stand but Johnson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Lu gets to his feet. Johnson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Johnson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lu has his takedown stuffed
so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lu is breathing heavily.

Johnson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Johnson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Lu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Lu has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.

Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Lu which made him look bad.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Johnson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The referee warns Lu that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Trung Lu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lu is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jeremy Johnson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Johnson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Johnson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
