Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Albert Wesker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zen Zelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zen Zelli!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Wesker does no damage.
Zen Zelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wesker takes the fight into the clinch.

Zelli decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zelli accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We're going to have a standup here because Albert Wesker wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

That was a close round but I would say that Albert Wesker will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Zelli is trying to force a seperation but Wesker has the dominant position.

Albert Wesker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wesker thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Zelli to regain full guard.

Wesker drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zelli manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wesker has Zelli in his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wesker has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Zelli off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Nice takedown defense from Zelli. No joy for Wesker on that attempt.

Zelli moves into range and connects with a jab.

Wesker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zelli's guard.
Wesker looking to sit in guard and control but Zelli gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Zelli stands up and waves to Wesker to follow him.

Wesker stalling away here and it's allowed Zelli to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Zelli wants to stand and escape but Wesker is having none of it.
Wesker wants to get up but he can't break Zelli's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Wesker wants to pass the guard but Zelli is keeping the position.

Zelli uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Zelli stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zelli wants it to stay on the feet.
Zelli fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wesker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zelli.

and Zelli counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wesker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zelli wants to clinch up but Wesker keeps it at a distance.

Zelli bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Wesker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Zelli fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wesker looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Wesker shoots in for a double leg but Zelli sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Zelli scores with a hook to the body. Wesker takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Albert Wesker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Zelli swings and misses with a hook to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wesker, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
