Jones is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hoist the Colours. Gandalf Mithrandir has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mithrandir throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mithrandir's sensitive parts.
Nice combo by Jones! Oh, that's hurt him - Mithrandir falls to the canvas and Jones follows him into side control.
Mithrandir is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mithrandir is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Oh Mithrandir is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Jones trying to control the action but Mithrandir is working from the bottom.
Jones lands a decent elbow from side control.

Mithrandir seems to have got his legs back now.
Mithrandir is trying to buck Jones off.
Check out the look on Jones's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jones grinds an elbow into Mithrandir's temple.
Jones tries to score with some ground and pound. Mithrandir controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jones lands some shots froms side control.
Mithrandir is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mithrandir is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jones has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Jones scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Mithrandir is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Jones can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Jones!
