Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeru Allianz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Toy Soldier. Gustavo Gracie could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jeru Allianz's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in but Allianz avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Allianz circles away.
Allianz moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.

Gracie clinches up with Allianz and pushes him back against the cage.

Allianz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Allianz steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Gracie. That one must have hurt.
Gracie fails to land the takedown.
Allianz tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gracie tries to clinch up but Allianz circles away and keeps his distance.
Allianz misses with a takedown attempt - Gracie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Gracie comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Allianz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Allianz kicks off Gracie and gets to his feet.

Gracie moves into the clinch.

Allianz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Gracie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Allianz wants to control but Gracie passes easily into half guard.

Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Allianz sees it coming and defends easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jeru Allianz was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Allianz has Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.
Gracie throws an elbow but it misses.

so Allianz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Allianz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing Allianz from controlling successfully.

Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Allianz pushing down on Gracie's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Well, if Allianz is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gracie tries to roll over but Allianz keeps him under control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Allianz content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Allianz passes into side control, despite Gracie's attempt to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gustavo Gracie will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Allianz lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Gracie closes the distance but Allianz moves to the side

and Allianz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Allianz is stalling in the full guard.

Allianz stands and steps away. Gracie gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Allianz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gracie swivels and escapes.

Gracie gets a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Allianz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gracie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Gracie lands an elbow inside that Allianz shrugs off.
Allianz tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gracie avoids it.

Gracie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Allianz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gracie as he jumps to the side.
Gustavo Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeru Allianz.
Gracie clinches but Allianz breaks the clinch
and Allianz counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gracie thinking.

and Allianz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gracie!
Jeru Allianz has got the better of the ground game so far.

Allianz lands a big shot to the head and Gracie winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
