Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dameon Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cormac Maguire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Brazilian Death. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida throws a leg kick which misses Maguire's front leg but catches the back leg as Maguire tries to avoid it.
Machida throws a quick inside leg kick.
Maguire misses with a looping left.
Machida tries to score with a low kick but Maguire moves his leg out of the way.
Machida throws a shot from downtown. Maguire moves away and avoids it.
Dameon Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida throws a sloppy head kick and Maguire moves out of range easily.
Machida is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Maguire.
Maguire buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Machida takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Machida throws a nice looking combination but Maguire bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The crowd cheers as Maguire lands an impressive looking overhand right. Machida doesn't seem phased though.

and Maguire finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Maguire looks to land a left hand but Machida moved out of range nicely.

Maguire throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maguire lands a jab to the nose.
Machida jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Machida thows a leg kick but Maguire checks it
and Maguire cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Maguire stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Machida.
Machida lands with a kick to the ribs.
A big left from Maguire misses.
Machida misses with an uppercut.
Maguire fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Machida manages to avoid it.
Maguire throws a leg kick that is checked
and Machida counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Maguire is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Maguire misses with a wild combination.
Machida misses with a looping left.
Machida throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Maguire doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maguire changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Machida closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Machida thows a body shot but no joy.
Machida walks into a straight right hand from Maguire.
Maguire cracks Machida with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Maguire thumps Machida with a low kick.

and Maguire counters with an outside leg kick.
Machida throws a shot from downtown. Maguire moves away and avoids it.

Machida throws a series of punches but Maguire moves out of range.
Machida throws a hook but Maguire avoids it easily.
Machida throws an overhand right that lands on Maguire's shoulder, as Maguire tries to avoid the shot.
A low kick from Machida is predictable there
and Maguire moves into the clinch.
Machida swings wildly with an uppercut but Maguire uses good head movement to avoid it.
Machida tries to work over Maguire's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Maguire creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Machida with a big uppercut! Machida tries to clinch up but Maguire pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Machida to the mat! Machida covers up and Maguire unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
