The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kitiona closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kitiona is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Lee gets his way!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Despite being in a bad position, Kitiona is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.

Lee is looking to stand but Lee has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Kitiona tries to lock up and control but Lee gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Kitiona is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lee is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Lee gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Lee and Kitiona goes tumbling to the canvas! Lee follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

It looks like C S Kitiona has been cut.
Kitiona is looking to get back to full guard here but Lee has managed to pass to side control instead.
Oh Kitiona is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lee stands up from mount. Strange move.
Lee looks to land a combination but Kitiona avoids it well.
Lee lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Kitiona is looking to close the distance but Lee sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Kitiona crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Kitiona is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
