Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshimo Hiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Kurosawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiro kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is My Hero. Kurosawa is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by War drums. Akira Kurosawa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hiroshimo Hiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Akira Kurosawa! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hiro takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Kurosawa throws the kick towards the body but Hiro avoids it. Kurosawa throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kurosawa throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Hiro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kurosawa pinned against the cage. Kurosawa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hiro thows a body shot but no joy. Kurosawa wants to slow Hiro down by chopping away at his legs. Kurosawa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Hiro dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kurosawa jabs at Hiro's body. Hiro moves out of range as Kurosawa throws a body kick.
Kurosawa throws a wild body kick that Hiro sees coming a mile off. Kurosawa thuds his right hand into Hiro's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kurosawa throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kurosawa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hiro defends it nicely. Hiro misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hiro throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hiro checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Hiro scores with a nice strike. Hiro fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hiro takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kurosawa shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Nice takedown defense from Kurosawa. No joy for Hiro on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hiroshimo Hiro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kurosawa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hiro. Kurosawa throws a nice outside leg kick. Kurosawa staying out of range there. A leg kick checked by Hiro. Kurosawa misses with a low kick.
Kurosawa defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hiro. Kurosawa staying out of range there. A punch combination from Hiro misses. Kurosawa throws a head kick but Hiro moves out of range.
Hiro pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A bone on bone clash there as Hiro blocks the leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hiro stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kurosawa. Hiro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kurosawa was covering up waiting for the punch and Hiro finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kurosawa throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Hiro tries to free his leg and advance position but Kurosawa is retaining full guard.

Hiro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hiro avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kurosawa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hiro is aware though and is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akira Kurosawa dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kurosawa lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hiro's sensitive parts. Hiro connects with a body shot. Hiro blocks a head kick by Kurosawa.

Hiro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kurosawa's guard. Hiro got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kurosawa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hiro has managed to get both his arms back between Kurosawa's legs - danger averted. Kurosawa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Hiro looking to sit in guard and control but Kurosawa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kurosawa trying to control the position from guard on top but Hiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hiro is trying to keep Kurosawa in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hiro is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Kurosawa throws a big right hand that misses. Kurosawa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hiro swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kurosawa is looking to work some ground and pound but Hiro has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurosawa throwing strikes from guard but Hiro blocks nicely. Kurosawa tries to free his leg and advance position but Hiro is retaining full guard. Hiro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kurosawa is one step ahead there. Kurosawa showing good wrestling skills to control the position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hiro holds on and takes a little breather.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kurosawa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hiro has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Kurosawa shoots and misses and Hiro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kurosawa tried to score with a low kick but Hiro checks it. Hiro blocks a leg kick. Kurosawa wants to slow Hiro down by chopping away at his legs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hiro decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kurosawa actively working from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Hiroshimo Hiro will probably get the nod. That's time! Hiro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Hiro keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kurosawa's head. Hiro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hiro engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kurosawa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hiro lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Kurosawa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kurosawa is trying to keep Hiro in close.
Kurosawa has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Hiro sitting in guard, not really doing much. Kurosawa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurosawa throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hiro escapes and throws Kurosawa's legs to the side, diving into side control! Hiro wants to control but Kurosawa is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kurosawa defending against the ground and pound. Kurosawa manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Kurosawa trying to pass the guard but Hiro defending well. Kurosawa looks to land a strike but Hiro avoids it nicely and regains full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hiro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Hiroshimo Hiro showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hiro has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
