The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuzzy throws a low kick but Rodriquez avoids it.
Fuzzy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rodriquez.
Rodriquez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rodriquez moves out of range as Fuzzy throws a body kick.
Rodriquez blocks a head kick by Fuzzy.
Rodriquez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Fjalar Fuzzy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cleto Rodriquez.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick misses from Fuzzy.
Rodriquez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fuzzy circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck for Rodriquez with that takedown attempt.
Fuzzy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rodriquez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Fuzzy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rodriquez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Fuzzy!
Fuzzy is looking to improve his position but Rodriquez isn't that keen on the idea.
Rodriquez avoids the attempt from Fuzzy to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rodriquez working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Fuzzy turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Rodriquez off and cradles Fuzzy's limp body as Rodriquez celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Cleto Rodriquez!
