Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cosmos Sobolev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivo Petric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sobolev comes to the cage accompanied by Ты попал. On his way into the cage it seems that Cosmos Sobolev has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Cosmos Sobolev seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivo Petric! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sobolev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Petric sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sobolev somewhat. Petric looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Petric throws a sloppy head kick and Sobolev moves out of range easily. Petric avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Petric has a takedown stuffed. Sobolev misses with a takedown and Petric counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sobolev might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sobolev trying to control the position.

Cosmos Sobolev has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Petric misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sobolev misses with a takedown and Sobolev takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cosmos Sobolev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Petric slaps away a takedown attempt from Sobolev, before circling back to the center of the mat. Petric avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sobolev closes this distance looking for a takedown but Petric circles away. Petric shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Sobolev blocking the ground and pound. Sobolev wants to hold on but Petric pushes him away. Petric controlling from mount. Petric throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Sobolev is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sobolev tries to lock up and control but Petric gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sobolev is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petric controlling the pace for now. Petric postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sobolev looks a forlorn figure.
Sobolev is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Petric looking to control and managing it successfully. Petric has control of Sobolev's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sobolev regains control of the situation pretty easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petric shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sobolev's guard. Petric's corner is telling him to maintain position. Sobolev not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Horrible takedown by Petric or perhaps it was just good defense by Sobolev which made him look bad. Sobolev has his takedown stuffed and Petric counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Sobolev pushes Petric off looking to stand but Petric dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sobolev is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Sobolev can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petric staying calm. Sobolev can't do much from the bottom here.

We're going to have a standup here because Cosmos Sobolev wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sobolev fails in his attempt to clinch. Cosmos Sobolev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sobolev pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Petric bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Petric working away. Sobolev tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Petric wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Petric decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sobolev to his feet.

Ivo Petric showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Sobolev looks to land a combination. Petric sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Sobolev shoots and misses and Petric moves into the clinch. Petric stops a takedown attempt from Sobolev.
Sobolev tries to break the clinch but Petric is controlling the position. Petric has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sobolev is trying to keep an underhook but Petric manages to get the takedown into half guard. Petric wants to work for an arm triangle but Sobolev is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Petric tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Sobolev. Sobolev wants to control but Petric is keeping busy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Petric is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sobolev tries to hold on but Petric postures up. Petric stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Petric shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Petric is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sobolev doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Petric.
And that's the end of the fight! Ivo Petric comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Petric has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
