0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bassi Maestro! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maestro takes a swing at Belyakov's ribcage but misses. Belyakov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Belyakov wants it to stay on the feet. Belyakov takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Maestro misses with a double jab.
Belyakov throws an overhand right that lands on Maestro's shoulder, as Maestro tries to avoid the shot. No joy there for Maestro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Belyakov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maestro.
Belyakov tries to sprawl but Maestro drives through with a takedown into half guard. Maestro trying to pass the guard but Belyakov defending well. Maestro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Maestro stops Belyakov from getting back to his feet.
Maestro trying to control from half guard but Belyakov is working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maestro thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Belyakov wants to get back to full guard. Maestro working the head and body with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belyakov keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Maestro thows a huge punch but Belyakov dodges it nicely.
Maestro is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Maestro wants to work for an arm triangle but Belyakov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Maestro missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Maestro is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Belyakov has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maestro stalling. Belyakov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Maestro tries to pass the half guard into mount. Belyakov knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Maestro is looking for a kimura but Belyakov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Maestro to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Maestro has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Maestro throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Maestro looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Belyakov regains half guard. Belyakov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Maestro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Maestro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Belyakov sees it coming and defends easily. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Maestro can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Belyakov is looking to escape. Belyakov wants to control but Maestro is having none of it. Belyakov regains half guard. Maestro wants to pass the guard but Belyakov is defending well. Maestro is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Belyakov working to try and regain half guard.
Maestro breaks from Belyakov's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Belyakov is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Maestro is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Belyakov is forced to tap! Great finish!
