Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Karmin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conrad Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karmin comes to the cage accompanied by Eyes of the World. Victor Karmin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Grant.

Karmin clinches up against the cage.
Grant drops down looking for an ankle pick but Karmin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Grant misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Karmin walks into a jab.

Karmin moves into the clinch successfully.
The is referee keeping an eye on Karmin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Karmin is pressed up against the cage. Grant has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Karmin down to the mat. Karmin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Karmin moves in looking to clinch but Grant pushes him off.
Karmin fails to land the takedown.
Karmin fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Grant looks gassed!

Grant misses with a jab, cross combination.

Karmin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grant, pushing him back against the cage.
Grant trying to stall but Karmin improves his position.

Karmin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Grant smiles and moves away.
Karmin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A bone on bone clash there as Karmin blocks the leg kick.
Karmin wants to clinch up but Grant keeps it at a distance.

and Grant takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Grant throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Karmin's waist but Karmin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grant off to one side.
Grant swats away the attempt to clinch by Karmin.
Karmin tries to clinch but Grant is having none of it.

Karmin is looking for a triangle but Grant pushes his legs off easily.

Grant decides to take the fight back to the feet.
A head kick from Karmin lands but Grant takes it in his stride.

Grant is looking to break free of the clinch but Karmin has double underhooks.

Karmin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Grant seems to have recovered his senses.

Karmin rushes Grant and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Karmin gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Karmin wants to pass to mount but Grant is defending the position.
Karmin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Grant with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Karmin wants to free his trapped foot but Grant is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Grant preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Karmin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Grant works his way to full guard. Good work.
Grant not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Karmin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grant swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Grant is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Grant breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Grant lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Grant.
Karmin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Karmin dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A right-left combo lands from Karmin.
Victor Karmin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Karmin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grant swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Grant scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Karmin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Grant's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Grant's back!
