Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Phenom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Phenom told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phenom throws out a powerful jab.
Phenom connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gracie's hands.
Phenom misses with a looping left.
Phenom connects with a right hand. Gracie shakes it off.
Phenom throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gracie. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Gracie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Phenom is surviving well by controlling Gracie's body position as best he can.
Gracie is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Phenom to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Phenom shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phenom lands a jab to Gracie's midsection.
Phenom lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gracie backs up against the cage.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Phenom shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Phenom sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Phenom can do anything to dispel that myth.

Phenom has left one of his arms exposed and Gracie doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Phenom screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
