The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godbey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Godbey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Aroman is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Godbey dives into side control.
Aroman wants to get back to his feet.
Godbey is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Aroman has escaped the position, nice work there.
Aroman prevents Godbey from improving position.
Sloppy strikes there by Godbey .
Aroman tries to buck Godbey off but Godbey is having none of it.
Aroman explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Aroman stuffs the takedown attempt from Godbey . Godbey gets slowly back to his feet.
Godbey clinches up with Aroman and pushes him back against the cage.
Aroman lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
A left hand lands to the body for Aroman.
Godbey is breathing heavily.
A shot in the inside from Aroman.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aroman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Aroman circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Godbey drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Aroman follows Godbey to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
