Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Hatayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatayama comes into the arena with けいおん! blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Hatayama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fedor Rua!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hiroshi Hatayama will probably get the nod.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rua connects with a nice short shot to Hatayama's temple.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
No luck for Rua with that takedown attempt.

Rua shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rua showed some decent athleticism there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Fedor Rua comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rua has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
