Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Meier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeAndre Danger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meier comes to the cage accompanied by Cant be touched. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyler Meier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, DeAndre Danger! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Danger gets in close and instigates a clinch. Danger drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Meier gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Danger is trying to drag Meier to the mat but Meier just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Meier pulls Danger into guard.
Danger wants to control from the top but Meier keeps moving. Danger wants to pass the guard but Meier is keeping the position. Meier is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Danger wants to control from the top but Meier keeps moving. Danger must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Danger advances to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Danger trying to mount his opponent but Meier defends it. Danger is trying to control. Meier wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Danger is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Meier gets back to full guard.
Meier thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Danger wants to get up but he can't break Meier's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Meier kicks Danger off and gets to his feet. Danger moves into the clinch. Meier gets underhooks to prevent Danger's takedown attempt.
Tyler Meier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DeAndre Danger. Danger looks gassed! Meier can't get the takedown.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Danger is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Danger stalling in the clinch but Meier improves position. Meier wants a takedown.

Meier is trying to trip Danger. He has hold of a leg but Danger is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Meier persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Danger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Meier doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Meier manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Danger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meier lands a couple of elbows. Meier slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tyler Meier wasn't doing enough on the ground. Danger drives through with a takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tyler Meier will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Danger throws a head kick that Meier semi-blocks.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Meier pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tyler Meier is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Meier stuffs the takedown attempt from Danger. Danger gets slowly back to his feet. Danger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Meier circles away. Danger fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Meier avoids it really well and circles away. Tyler Meier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DeAndre Danger. Meier clinches up with Danger and pushes him back against the cage. Meier tries to score a body lock takedown but Danger shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Meier has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Danger clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Meier really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Meier lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meier connects with a big shot to the side of Danger's head.
The referee is taking a good look at Danger as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Meier!
Danger rolls, trying to escape but Meier keeps control of the position.
Meier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Danger looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Meier biding his time, looking for the opening.
Meier has the hooks in. Danger is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Meier lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Danger is trying to break free.
Danger wants to control his opponent's hands but Meier gets his hands free. Danger grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Meier loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Danger hold on?
Danger is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Meier controlling well, preventing Danger from escaping the position.
Danger covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Danger's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Danger staying busy and making it hard for Meier to control. Danger is trapped and Meier is scoring with shots to the head and body. Meier is hanging on to Danger's back as he tries to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Meier has good solid back control here. Danger looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Meier is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Danger up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Meier dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Danger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Meier circles away. Danger fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Danger showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Meier.
Meier is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Danger throws a combination that misses and Meier counters with a two punch combo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meier fails with an attempt to clinch.

Tyler Meier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Meier stalling. Danger blocking the ground and pound attempt from Meier. Meier trying to control the action but Danger is working from the bottom. Meier is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meier wants to pass to mount but Danger is defending the position. Meier passes the guard and advances to mount! Danger really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Danger is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Tyler Meier showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Meier, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
