Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, O Shea Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keijo Kynis! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kynis.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kynis napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kynis is trying to control Jackson's posture but Jackson avoids it. Jackson controls the position from side control. Jackson cracks Kynis with a big elbow. Jackson throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Jackson working the head with strikes. Kynis avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jackson. Jackson tries for a kimura but Kynis is defending well. The strikes coming from Jackson are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kynis has escaped the position, nice work there. Jackson landing strikes. Jackson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kynis is trying to control Jackson's posture but Jackson avoids it. Check out the look on Jackson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kynis is rocked! Jackson cracks Kynis with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Jackson immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Kynis is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Jackson!
