Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between ronald mcdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Calavar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Calavar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calavar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by mcdonald.
Calavar wants to clinch up but mcdonald keeps it at a distance.
Calavar throws a right and a left that mcdonald avoids nicely.
mcdonald shoots in for a takedown but Calavar shows good takedown defense.

The fight stays on the outside here - Calavar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
mcdonald feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
mcdonald is working Calavar over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
mcdonald sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

mcdonald is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Calavar can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

mcdonald is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Calavar has managed to escape the submission attempt.

mcdonald looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Calavar holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as mcdonald tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Calavar seems to have recovered his senses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Calavar tries to reverse the position but mcdonald maintains control.

mcdonald wants to finish this one by submission but Calavar is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from mcdonald.

mcdonald lands a big shot there that rocks Calavar but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That has opened up Bruce Calavar's cut even more.
The referee warns Calavar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Bruce Calavar's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bruce Calavar's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
