Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Brennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor misses with a few strikes there.
McGregor tries to bum rush Brennan with a series of wild strikes but Brennan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

McGregor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
McGregor wants to pass the guard but Brennan is keeping the position.

McGregor stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Brennan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Brennan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McGregor.
McGregor connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brennan. Brennan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Horrible takedown by Brennan or perhaps it was just good defense by McGregor which made him look bad.

Brennan gets caught flat footed, as McGregor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Brennan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McGregor on the ground.

Brennan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McGregor pulls him back up using the underhooks.

William McGregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brennan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McGregor finds it's way round the side to connect with Brennan's head.

McGregor lands with a straight right. Brennan didn't see that one coming.
McGregor connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Brennan's hands.

McGregor shoots in and bounces Brennan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
McGregor is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Let's hope that McGregor has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brennan is squirming around, avoiding McGregor's attempts to control the action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. William McGregor was stalling too much, according to the referee.

George Brennan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William McGregor.

McGregor shoots in looking for a takedown. Brennan tries to sprawl out of it but McGregor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brennan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

McGregor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brennan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

McGregor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brennan circles away quickly and effectively.
Brennan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McGregor's jab looks to have found its range, popping Brennan under the eye.

Brennan shoots for a takedown but McGregor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGregor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

McGregor's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
McGregor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. William McGregor hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Brennan. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

McGregor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brennan sprawls well initially but McGregor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

McGregor decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

McGregor has managed to clinch.

William McGregor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

William McGregor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McGregor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
