Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stone Wall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ross peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). peters is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: one step closer . Stone Wall looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stone Wall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, ross peters!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wall shoots in but peters avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wall tries to close the distance and clinch up but peters swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Wall gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wall is on top in guard.
peters looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wall is one step ahead there.
Wall trying to control the position from guard on top but peters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
peters manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Wall wants to control but peters is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

peters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wall tries to get back to half guard but can't.

peters is working Wall over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Wall is trying to control the position but peters postures up.

Wall had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. peters is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wall Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take peters's back instead.

Wall is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. peters is defending well though. Wall let's go of the attempt for now.

Wall will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
peters makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Wall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
peters lands a couple of elbows.
peters passes into half guard.
peters lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Wall tries to roll over but peters keeps him under control.
Wall flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Wall tries to kick peters off but peters keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
peters prevents Wall from improving his position.
Wall manages to get to full guard.
peters wants to control from the top but Wall keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

ross peters dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Wall takes one on the chin but seems OK.

peters closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wall is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Wall is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Wall's face as peters controls the position.
ross peters has got the better of the ground game so far.

Wall is trying to maintain the position but peters is very close to passing his half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wall has hold of peters's hands but peters slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Wall is not content to let peters control the position.

Wall is looking for a sweep. peters is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
peters wants to take a breather but Wall is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wall fails with the takedown
and peters connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

peters is fighting off a takedown attempt but Wall is just too persistent for him and manages to trip peters to the mat. peters regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
peters keeping moving, preventing Wall from controlling successfully.

Wall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wall wants to control but peters is keeping him busy.
peters is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wall off and has taken his back!
peters lands an elbow to the side of the head.

peters has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

peters looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wall moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
peters seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Wall has his foot on peters's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. peters works his way back into a safe position though.

Wall works to advance to full mount. peters defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

peters has left one of his arms exposed and Wall doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. peters screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
