Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Crack Corn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Maniche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crack Corn comes to the cage accompanied by Jimmy cracks heads and he dont care. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Crack Corn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Maniche! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crack Corn fails with a takedown attempt. Maniche throws a right and a left that Crack Corn avoids nicely. Maniche avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Maniche throws a hook to the side of Crack Corn's head but Crack Corn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Crack Corn closes the distance and pushes Maniche back into the cage. Crack Corn wants a takedown but no success here.
Maniche escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Maniche defending well as Crack Corn loads up on a big left hand. Crack Corn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Maniche is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crack Corn is controlling him. Crack Corn trying to control but Maniche is working from the bottom. Maniche wants to stand and escape but Crack Corn is having none of it. Crack Corn throwing strikes but missing. Crack Corn working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maniche keeping moving, preventing Crack Corn from controlling successfully. Crack Corn controls the pace of the fight for a moment. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Maniche is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Maniche chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Crack Corn can pounce on him.
Maniche tries to sprawl but Crack Corn drives through with a takedown into half guard. Maniche is trying to stand up here but Crack Corn is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crack Corn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Crack Corn trying to control from half guard but Maniche is working away. Maniche tries to kick Crack Corn off but Crack Corn keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Maniche is not content to let Crack Corn control the position. Crack Corn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Maniche knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn stalling away here and it's allowed Maniche to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Crack Corn controls from within his opponent's guard. Maniche wants to stand and escape but Crack Corn is having none of it. Crack Corn trying to control but Maniche is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jimmy Crack Corn. Crack Corn tries to bum rush Maniche with a series of wild strikes but Maniche uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Crack Corn scores with a punch to the head. Crack Corn slips a jab and a cross from Maniche.
Jimmy Crack Corn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crack Corn feints and as Maniche raises his hands in defense, Crack Corn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn wants to control from the top but Maniche keeps moving. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Maniche preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Maniche keeping moving, preventing Crack Corn from controlling successfully. Maniche is looking to stand up but Crack Corn isn't so interested in that idea. Crack Corn pushing down on Maniche's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Crack Corn is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Crack Corn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Maniche knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Crack Corn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maniche keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Maniche is looking to escape. Crack Corn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Maniche does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Maniche looks like he's trying to stand up.
Maniche looks gassed! Crack Corn trying to control the action but Maniche is working from the bottom.
We're going to have a standup here because Jimmy Crack Corn wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Crack Corn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maniche's waist but Maniche gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Crack Corn off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Crack Corn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Crack Corn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Maniche throws a nice looking combination but Crack Corn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Crack Corn works over Maniche's head and body with a nice combination. Crack Corn takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Maniche throws a shot from downtown. Crack Corn moves away and avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Crack Corn dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Maniche tries to kick Crack Corn off but Crack Corn keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Maniche keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Crack Corn wants to take a breather but Maniche is having none of it. Maniche looks like he's trying to stand up.
Maniche is breathing heavily. Maniche won't allow Crack Corn to pass to mount.

Maniche throws a combination that misses and Crack Corn counters with a nice double leg into guard. Maniche wants to stand and escape but Crack Corn is having none of it. Maniche keeping moving, preventing Crack Corn from controlling successfully. Crack Corn is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Maniche is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Crack Corn is really struggling to control Maniche but he's trying to hold on to the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Crack Corn won't allow Maniche to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jimmy Crack Corn. Crack Corn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Maniche as he jumps to the side. Crack Corn fails with the takedown. Crack Corn drops his hands momentarily and Maniche takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Maniche checks a leg kick. Maniche looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Crack Corn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maniche is fending him off so far but Crack Corn persists. Nope, Maniche circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Crack Corn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Maniche will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Crack Corn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Crack Corn on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Maniche ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crack Corn moves away. Maniche stuffs the takedown. Maniche scores with the left hand. Crack Corn knows he should have avoided that one. Crack Corn avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maniche misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Crack Corn.

and Maniche counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Maniche throws a series of punches but Crack Corn avoids them all with ease. Crack Corn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Maniche sprawls well initially but Crack Corn persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Maniche is looking to escape. Maniche is not content to let Crack Corn control the position. Crack Corn passes to full mount! Crack Corn content just to control the position here. Crack Corn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn won't let Maniche get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Crack Corn with the ground and pound from mount. Crack Corn wants to control the pace but Maniche is squirming around nicely. Maniche is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Crack Corn dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Maniche walks into a straight right hand from Crack Corn. Jimmy Crack Corn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Crack Corn wants to slow Maniche down by chopping away at his legs. Maniche leaves Crack Corn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Maniche just misses with a punch to the body.
Crack Corn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Maniche momentarily.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crack Corn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maniche swivels though and keeps the full guard. Maniche wants to stand but Crack Corn is controlling the position.
Jimmy Crack Corn has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Maniche misses with a double jab.
Maniche keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Crack Corn. Maniche is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Crack Corn rather than just go for the knockout. Maniche fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Crack Corn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Crack Corn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Maniche makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Some wild striking there from Maniche.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Maniche misses with a jab, cross combination.
Crack Corn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Maniche. Sam Maniche is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Crack Corn's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Crack Corn duly obliges. Maniche throws a big shot that misses. Crack Corn darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Crack Corn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maniche is refusing to be controlled, as Crack Corn sits in half guard. Maniche is trying to stand.
Crack Corn passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Maniche! Crack Corn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Maniche is looking to escape. Maniche is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn controlling his opponent. Maniche is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Crack Corn controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Crack Corn cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Crack Corn raining down shots from the mount! Crack Corn looking to control but Maniche is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Maniche is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Crack Corn looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Crack Corn has hold of Maniche's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Maniche manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Maniche tries to buck Crack Corn off but he can't manage it.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Crack Corn showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crack Corn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
