Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Agid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Xayle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xayle has chosen Ready For War - 50 Cent (Instrumental) as his entrance music. John Xayle will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Agid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Xayle! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Agid shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Agid seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Xayle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Agid is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Xayle sees it coming and defends easily. Xayle looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Agid is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Agid trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Xayle manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Xayle avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Agid looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Xayle passes into half guard. Xayle tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Agid. Xayle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Agid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Agid is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Agid makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Agid.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Xayle avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Agid has a closed guard, preventing Xayle from standing up. Agid looking to hit a scissor sweep but Xayle is one step ahead there. Agid lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Xayle! Agid will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Agid is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Xayle has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Xayle! Xayle wants to control from the top but Agid keeps moving. Xayle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Agid has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Xayle has managed to get both his arms back between Agid's legs - danger averted. Agid is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Agid dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Agid is defended easily by Xayle. A telegraphed right hand from Agid misses the target. Agid rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Xayle moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Agid drives through with a takedown into guard. Agid wants to pass the guard but Xayle is keeping the position. Xayle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Agid slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Agid wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Xayle, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Agid thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Xayle is trying to buck Agid off. Xayle misses with an elbow from the bottom. Agid is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Xayle has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Agid is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Xayle has escaped the position, nice work there. Agid wants to lay and pray for a moment but Xayle keeps working. Xayle tries to buck Agid off but Agid is having none of it. Agid gets to mount! Xayle was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Agid with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Xayle is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Agid has taken his back! Xayle controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Xayle fending off the submission attempt from Agid. Agid has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Xayle has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Xayle has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Agid is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Xayle is defending well though. Agid let's go of the attempt for now. Xayle is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Agid off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Xayle fending off the submission attempt from Agid. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Agid dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Xayle closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Agid to the mat! Agid manages to get full guard. Xayle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Agid has a closed guard, preventing Xayle from standing up. Agid throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Xayle escapes and throws Agid's legs to the side, diving into side control! Agid is looking for a sweep. Xayle tries to stand but Agid is controlling his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Agid is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Xayle's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Agid is looking to improve his position.
Agid looking for submissions off his back. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Xayle wants to stand up but Agid is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Agid actively working from the bottom here. Xayle wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Xayle stands up. Agid shoots and misses and Xayle counters with a nice double leg into guard. Xayle wanted to stand there but Agid had control of the position. Agid has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Xayle is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Agid.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Xayle stalls from top position. Jon Agid is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Agid is looking to reverse the position. Xayle working away. John Xayle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Agid is looking to reverse the position.
