Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Grimlock Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaia Ky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones's entrance music is Wu Tang Clan - Method Man. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ky will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Jones looks to land a left hand but Ky moved out of range nicely. Jones has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ky. Jones slips a straight right by Ky. Ky lands a right hook to the body.
Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Some bone on bone action there as Jones checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Jones connects with a body shot. Ky stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Some bone on bone action there as Jones checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Jones lunges at Ky with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ky's hand. Ky looks to land a body kick but Jones moved away. Jones on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ky wants to slow Jones down by chopping away at his legs. Ky misses with a low kick as Jones jumps back. Gaia Ky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A shot to the body from Jones misses and Ky counters with a nice body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ky misses with a shot to the body and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ky moves away. Jones swings for the body but Ky moves out of range.
Jones checks the leg kick. Ky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ky. Ky ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jones throws a body punch but Ky moves out of range. Ky uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Ky throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease. Good exchange - Ky coming out on top. Jones throws a body punch but Ky moves out of range. Jones closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ky quickly recovers to half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ky preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Ky tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is pressing down on Ky's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ky is holding on for now. Ky has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though. Ky wants to get back to full guard. Jones stalling away here and it's allowed Ky to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Jones trying to control but Ky is working from the bottom. Jones is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ky is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ky is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jones misses the body punch and Ky counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones thows a body shot but no joy. Jones closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ky quickly recovers to half guard. Ky has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though. Ky wants to get back to full guard. Ky keeping hold of Jones's head, controlling as best he can. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ky can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Ky is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ky wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ky keeps working. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jones sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jones checks a leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones thows a body shot but no joy. Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ky.
Ky throws a sloppy body shot
and Jones counters with a stiff right hand. Ky scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jones doesn't seem bothered though. Ky connects with a right hand. Jones shakes it off. Jones tries for a takedown but Ky circles away easily and Ky cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jones moves out of range of the body kick. Ky throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab. Ky ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Jones takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jones looks to throw the jab but Ky is out of range. Jones jabs at Ky's body. Ky scores with a jab to the head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Grimlock Jones dominated that round. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ky is looking to score with low kicks. Ky has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A jab from Ky misses. Ky fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones. Ky misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely. Ky moves out of range of the strikes. Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ky counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Ky avoids the body shot from Jones.
Ky walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Ky misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Jones counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ky motions for Jones to come forward. Ky throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A head kick misses from Ky.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Jones finds it's way through Ky's defenses. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ky moves away. Jones thows a left - swing and a miss! Jones blocks a jab. Good leg kick by Ky there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Nice straight punches there by Jones. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jones. Ky misses with a kick to the body.

so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ky seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Ky trying to control the position.
Ky manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Ky tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Jones is working hard here to advance position. Jones wants to hold on but Ky pushes him away. Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ky sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Jones tries to lock up and control but Ky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jones is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jones tries to hold on but Ky postures up. Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ky can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Grimlock Jones dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Jones misses with a wild body shot. Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ky avoids the body shot from Jones.
Ky scores with a hook to the body. Jones takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jones misses with an uppercut. Ky saw that one coming. Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jones has a takedown stuffed. Ky throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ky misses the body punch enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab. Ky works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Ky staying out of range there. Jones stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ky.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ky throws a nice inside leg kick. Ky misses with a leg kick and Ky takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jones scores with a sloppy right hand. Ky should have avoided that one. Ky swings and misses with a shot to the body and Jones counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ky! Ky can't escape the position.

Ky is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ky is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. A nice elbow there by Jones. Jones throws some wild stikes that Ky manages to avoid easily.
Jones avoids the attempt from Ky to control. Jones is landing with some decent strikes but Ky is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ky can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones trying to control but Ky is having none of it. Ky tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Ky is trying to stand. Jones tries to control but Ky wriggling away. Ky tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones working the ground and pound effectively.
Jones wants to control the pace but Ky is squirming around nicely. Jones controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ky blocking the ground and pound. Jones with good strikes from the mount here! Jones thowing shots but they're missing. Ky holds on to Jones around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks. Grimlock Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones controlling the position easily from mount. Jones working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ky is looking to escape. Gaia Ky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jones avoids the attempt from Ky to control. Jones throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ky because Jones loaded up on that one. Jones lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ky hang on? Jones tries to control but Ky wriggling away. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones controlling from mount. Ky is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ky looks a forlorn figure.
And that's the end of the fight! Grimlock Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
