Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paddy Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Spants (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fox kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Roy Jones - Can't be touched. Paddy Fox has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Paddy Fox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Lou Spants! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fox fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Spants on the side of the head.
It looks like Lou Spants has been cut. Spants looks for a takedown but Fox sprawls well. Fox tries to sprawl but Spants drives through with a takedown into half guard. Spants tries to pass to full mount but Fox defends it. Spants prevents Fox from standing back up.
The fighters are battling for position here. Fox manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Fox wants to get back to his feet but Spants is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Fox is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fox working for a triangle but Spants defends it easily.
Fox has his foot on Spants's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Spants works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spants wants to control from the top but Fox keeps moving. Spants postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fox looking for a guillotine here but Spants defends easily.

Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spants postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Spants wants to control from the top but Fox keeps moving. Spants passes Fox's left leg - he's now in half guard. Spants wants to take a breather but Fox is having none of it. Fox has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Spants is working away from the top position though. Spants controlling the action here. Fox is looking to escape.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Fox shoots in for a double leg but Spants sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spants misses with the combination.
Fox slips a straight right by Spants. Spants throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Fox dodges the punch combination from Spants.
Spants shoots and misses and Fox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Spants throws a combination that misses and Fox moves into the clinch. Spants is looking to break free of the clinch but Fox has double underhooks. Fox has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Spants is trying to keep an underhook but Fox manages to get the takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spants wants to control but Fox is keeping busy and won't allow it. Spants is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Fox is staying active. Fox seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fox is trying to work for a kimura but Spants is defending well.
Fox is breathing heavily. Fox with the ground and pound but Spants uses the opportunity to regain guard. Fox stands and steps away. Spants gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Spants goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Lou Spants seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fox swinging wildly here.
Spants connects with a single shot there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spants misses with a straight right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Paddy Fox will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Lou Spants's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Fox throws out a loose jab but Spants uses good head movement to avoid it. Spants throws a predictable looking body shot
and Fox connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Spants looks to throw the jab but Fox is out of range. Paddy Fox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fox misses with an uppercut. Spants saw that one coming. Spants tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fox was well out of range. Poor timing from Spants. Spants has his takedown stuffed and Fox counters with a nice uppercut. Spants ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fox moves away. Spants takes a swing at Fox's ribcage but misses. Spants lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Fox shoots in but Spants avoids the takedown attempt easily. Paddy Fox is winning the standup battle so far. Spants ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fox moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spants jabbing away but nothing is landing. Spants doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fox counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Spants is breathing heavily. Fox connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Fox fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Spants sprawls well initially but Fox persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Spants is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fox seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Spants is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Paddy Fox!
