Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carter Pewterschmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aldo Raine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pewterschmidt comes into the arena with 7 Words blaring out of the sound system. Raine has chosen Slaughter - Billy Preston as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carter Pewterschmidt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aldo Raine! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raine tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pewterschmidt swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pewterschmidt misses with a hook. Raine throws a nice inside leg kick. Raine uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pewterschmidt. Raine fails with an attempt to clinch.
Carter Pewterschmidt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pewterschmidt lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Pewterschmidt throws a body punch but Raine moves out of range. Pewterschmidt swings for the body but Raine moves out of range.
Raine ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pewterschmidt circles away from the clinch attempt.
Raine uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pewterschmidt.
Pewterschmidt misses with a hook. Pewterschmidt throws a leg kick and Raine counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Raine. Raine will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pewterschmidt up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raine tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Raine tries to land knees in the clinch but Pewterschmidt avoids the damage to the body. Pewterschmidt turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pewterschmidt manages to end up in side control. You can see the frustration on Raine's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Check out the look on Pewterschmidt's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Pewterschmidt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Raine can't do much from the bottom here. Raine is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pewterschmidt off and has taken his back! Pewterschmidt can't escape the position.
Pewterschmidt is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raine doesn't have the hooks in and Pewterschmidt manages to turn into his guard.
Pewterschmidt slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Raine struggling a bit here. Raine takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Raine struggling a bit here. Raine taking a bit of punishment here - Pewterschmidt scoring with strikes. Pewterschmidt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Raine is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pewterschmidt advances nicely into full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Raine tries to hold on but Pewterschmidt postures up. Raine is in all sorts of trouble here.
Raine wants to hold on but Pewterschmidt pushes him away. Pewterschmidt prevents Raine from getting the reversal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. BOOM! Pewterschmidt connects with a massive shot to the dome!
It looks like Aldo Raine has been cut. Raine takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Pewterschmidt tries to control but Raine wriggling away. A nice elbow there by Pewterschmidt.
That has opened up Aldo Raine's cut even more.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Raine squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Pewterschmidt lands a nice shot to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Raine really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Raine looks gassed! Pewterschmidt landing shots from mount. A nice elbow there by Pewterschmidt.
The cut above Aldo Raine's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Aldo Raine's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
