Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nate Shelby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asmir Zslevski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shelby comes into the arena with Amazing blaring out of the sound system. Asmir Zslevski has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nate Shelby's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nate Shelby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asmir Zslevski! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zslevski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shelby tries to bum rush Zslevski with a series of wild strikes but Zslevski uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Zslevski has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Asmir Zslevski has been cut. Shelby takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Nate Shelby has been cut. Zslevski slips a jab from Shelby. Shelby moves into the clinch. Zslevski can't find room to land a body shot as Shelby controls the action.
Shelby lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Zslevski backwards. Shelby misses with a punch on the inside.
Shelby throws a punch but it's blocked by Zslevski. Shelby lands a left hand that snaps the head of Zslevski backwards. Shelby presses Zslevski against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Zslevski stalling in the clinch but Shelby improves position. A short body shot lands from Shelby as the two fighters clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zslevski jumps guard but Shelby stands there with Zslevski around his waist. Zslevski gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shelby prevents a takedown attempt there.
Zslevski wants the takedown. Shelby is fighting it off but Zslevski persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Shelby's guard against the cage. Zslevski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Shelby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zslevski trying to control but Shelby is working from the bottom. Zslevski trying to move into half guard but instead Shelby has managed to sweep! Shelby controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Shelby would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Shelby is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Zslevski keeping moving, preventing Shelby from controlling successfully.
Nate Shelby has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Zslevski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shelby.
Zslevski shoots for a takedown but Shelby saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nate Shelby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asmir Zslevski. Zslevski throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shelby tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Zslevski is in Shelby's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shelby can't keep his opponent in guard - Zslevski advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Shelby trying to hold on to Zslevski's head to control him but Zslevski postures up.
Zslevski is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Shelby is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Asmir Zslevski!
