Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trent Boyat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skip Foreplay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foreplay has chosen Hip to be Square as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Boyat lands an impressive looking overhand right. Foreplay doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Skip Foreplay has been cut.
Boyat tries a head kick but it misses.
Foreplay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Foreplay blocks a leg kick.

Boyat gets caught flat footed, as Foreplay shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Boyat is looking to stand up but Foreplay isn't so interested in that idea.

Boyat scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Boyat throws a leg kick but Foreplay sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Boyat lands with a hook. Foreplay tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A big right from Boyat misses.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Foreplay, right into the meat.
Foreplay digs a good body shot into Boyat's ribs.
Boyat tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Foreplay avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Foreplay throws a sloppy head kick and Boyat moves out of range easily.
Foreplay sizes up Boyat with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Boyat misses with a low kick.

Boyat gets a clinch.
Boyat stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Boyat lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Foreplay backwards.

Foreplay jumps into guard, dragging Boyat to the mat.
Boyat wants to stand but Foreplay is controlling his posture from full guard.
Foreplay manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boyat manages to get himself to full guard.
Foreplay passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Foreplay tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Foreplay working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Foreplay swings around for an armbar but Boyat sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Foreplay's guard.
Foreplay is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Boyat has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Foreplay is proving hard to escape from.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Boyat stands up and waves to Foreplay to follow him.
Boyat throws a sloppy head kick

and Foreplay counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Foreplay forces his way into half guard.

Boyat is trying to stand up here but Foreplay is controlling him well.
Foreplay trying to control from Boyat's half guard. Boyat has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Foreplay trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Foreplay postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Boyat is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Foreplay, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boyat stands and steps away. Foreplay gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Foreplay staying out of range there.
Boyat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A clash of legs there as Boyat blocks the low kick.

Foreplay shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Foreplay is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Boyat is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
