And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Benoit tries to clinch there but Taylor circles away.
Benoit has a takedown stuffed.
Taylor throws a sloppy head kick and Benoit moves out of range easily.
A head kick misses from Taylor.
Benoit gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Benoit looking to hit a scissor sweep but Taylor is one step ahead there.
Taylor landing some decent shots from guard.
Benoit striking off his back but it's not causing Taylor any problems.
Benoit looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Taylor puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Taylor wants to pass to mount but Benoit is defending the position.
Benoit looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Benoit is looking to get back to full guard here but Taylor has managed to pass to side control instead.

Taylor lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Benoit is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Benoit looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Benoit depends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Taylor's arms.
Taylor is breathing heavily.

Benoit is trying to break free.
Benoit trying to control the hands but Taylor won't let him.
Taylor doesn't have the hooks in and Benoit manages to turn into his guard.
Taylor is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Taylor keeping moving, preventing Benoit from controlling successfully.
Benoit thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Benoit pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Taylor is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Benoit content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Taylor has locked up a guillotine! Taylor's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Benoit is holding on here and Taylor must be using up a lot of energy. Benoit has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Taylor gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
