Hernandez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nikisch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hernandez scores with a crisp jab that stopped Nikisch in his tracks.
Nikisch looks to land a combination but Hernandez avoids it well.

It looks like Art Nikisch has been cut.
Hernandez stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Nikisch is rocked!
Nikisch swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hernandez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Oh Nikisch is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
