Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rufus Wainright!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kakinomoto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wainright lands with a straight right. Kakinomoto didn't see that one coming.


It looks like Makoto Kakinomoto has been cut.
Kakinomoto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wainright pinned against the cage. Wainright gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wainright in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wainright tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
I looks like Wainright might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wainright throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wainright tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kakinomoto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wainright scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Makoto Kakinomoto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters circle, before Wainright throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Kakinomoto's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Wainright lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
