Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
van Mol is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
van Mol shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily.
van Mol tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
van Mol takes one to the chin there.
Johnson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
van Mol has taken the fight to the clinch.
van Mol's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Johnson slips a jab and a cross from van Mol.
van Mol lands a head kick!
van Mol is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
van Mol shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. van Mol gets slowly back to his feet.
van Mol tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
van Mol takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Johnson throws a nice looking combination but van Mol bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

van Mol lands with a slapping head kick.

van Mol with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johnson to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Dave van Mol has been cut.
Johnson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Johnson lands with an overhand left.
Johnson scores with a jab to the body.
Johnson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Johnson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

van Mol closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Johnson scores with a nice right hand.

Johnson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Johnson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Dave van Mol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

van Mol has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

van Mol takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

van Mol seems to have recovered his senses.
Johnson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Johnson cracks van Mol with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Johnson dips to his left and cracks van Mol with an uppercut!
Johnson lands a nice shot that snaps van Mol's head back.
van Mol shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
van Mol is trying desperately to land a takedown but Johnson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for van Mol.
Johnson jabs van Mol to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Johnson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Johnson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
van Mol has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Johnson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Johnson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Johnson lands with a hook. van Mol tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Nice uppercut lands for Johnson. That snapped van Mol's head back.
Johnson lands with a big left! van Mol is wobbled badly! Johnson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops van Mol to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Anthony Johnson!
