Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zei Rulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cross Dresser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zei Rulu has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dresser throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rulu sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dresser throws out a loose jab but Rulu uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dresser throws a series of punches but Rulu avoids them all with ease.
Rulu fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rulu shoots in looking for a takedown. Dresser tries to sprawl out of it but Rulu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dresser manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dresser throws a shot from downtown. Rulu moves away and avoids it.
Dresser throws a body punch but Rulu moves out of range.
Dresser throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rulu throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dresser tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rulu is in Dresser's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rulu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rulu is looking to take a break and control but Dresser is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rulu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rulu thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dresser's head.

Dresser really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rulu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Rulu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dresser defends it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rulu is working Dresser over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
