Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Lambose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Management (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lambose comes into the arena with Super Mario Song blaring out of the sound system. Management is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Walk by Pantera. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Lambose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ray Management! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Management takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Management fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lambose. Lambose swats away the attempt to clinch by Management. Lambose shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Lambose thows a huge punch but Management dodges it nicely.
Management avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lambose. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Management wants to get back to his feet. Still in half guard, Lambose seems content to control. Lambose throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Lambose wants to lay and pray for a moment but Management keeps working. Lambose throwing shots but Management is blocking nicely. Lambose takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nick Lambose just wasn't active enough. Lambose closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Management quickly recovers to half guard. Still in half guard, Lambose seems content to control. Lambose's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Lambose winds up and cracks Management with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Lambose wants to lay and pray for a moment but Management keeps working. Lambose content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Lambose has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Nick Lambose has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Lambose swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lambose. Lambose missing with a left hand there. Management was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. That's three minutes gone in the round. Management takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Management is trying to escape the position but Lambose is controlling the position. Management wants to control but Lambose postures up. Lambose working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Management takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lambose has knee on belly and moves into mount. Management is trying desperately to improve position. Lambose sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

A nice elbow there by Lambose. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lambose controlling from mount. Management tries to hold on but Lambose postures up. Lambose throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lambose throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Nick Lambose dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Management connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Management throws a sloppy head kick and Lambose moves out of range easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lambose. Management lands a leg kick that knocks Lambose off balance momentarily. Lambose sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Management lands a head kick. Lambose smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Lambose shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lambose chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Management can pounce on him.

Management manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Lambose. That's going to take a lot out of him. Management moves in looking to clinch but Lambose pushes him off. Management keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The fight stays on the outside here - Management looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lambose slips under a jab from Management. Management scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Management clinches. Management throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Management is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lambose can't get the takedown.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Management just misses with a elbow thrown towards Lambose's brow. Management is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lambose is keeping busy. Lambose has Management pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Management manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Management pressing his opponent against the cage. The crowd are getting on Management's back here.
