Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mirko Raymore Ardonia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Clay!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Clay looks to score with a jab to the body but Ardonia is just out of range.
Clay shoots in for a double leg but Ardonia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Clay fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ardonia throws a series of punches but Clay avoids them all with ease.
Clay shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ardonia pinned against the cage. Ardonia gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mirko Raymore Ardonia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Clay.
Clay tries to clinch but Ardonia is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ardonia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Clay somewhat.

Clay changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ardonia tries to avoid it but Clay manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ardonia to the ground. Ardonia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ardonia throws a jab but it's blocked by Clay.
Clay shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ardonia as he jumps to the side.
Ardonia looks to land a combination but Clay avoids it well.

Clay shoots in and drives through. Ardonia sprawls well.

No joy there for Clay, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Clay.
Ardonia misses the shot to the body.
Clay lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Clay tries for a takedown but Ardonia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Ardonia closes the distance and lands a one-two.
The fighters circle momentarily. Ardonia darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ardonia lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ardonia connects with a right hand. Clay shakes it off.

and Ardonia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ardonia jabs Clay right on the nose. Clay blinks but takes it well.

Clay is trying desperately to land a takedown but Ardonia is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Clay.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ardonia jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ardonia tries to bum rush Clay with a series of wild strikes but Clay uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Clay should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ardonia tests Clay's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Clay shoots in for a takedown but Ardonia shows good takedown defense.
Mirko Raymore Ardonia is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jake Clay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clay gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ardonia.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ardonia is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Clay tries to pass to full mount but Ardonia defends it.

and Ardonia counters with a three punch combo that has Clay backing up. Clay nods at Ardonia to acknowledge the strikes.
Ardonia throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Clay lands with a nice combination. Ardonia backs away looking to recover.
Ardonia throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Clay counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ardonia's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Clay won't allow Ardonia to sweep him here.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Clay closes the distance and clinches up with Ardonia, looking for a takedown. Clay pushes Ardonia against the cage but Ardonia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Clay shoots in but no luck this time.
Ardonia works the jab nicely.

Clay shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ardonia's guard.
Ardonia looking to hit a scissor sweep but Clay is one step ahead there.
Clay slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Clay is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ardonia has escaped the position, nice work there.
Clay in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Clay looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Ardonia is trying to buck Clay off.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Clay is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ardonia is trying to escape and Clay transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ardonia is forced to tap! Nice work there by Clay! Very nice indeed!
