Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ugly Kid Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Dunne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunne comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cunninlynguists - Tear tracks kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Josh Dunne has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ugly Kid Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Dunne!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe clobbers Dunne with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Joe connects with a right hand. Dunne shakes it off.
Joe scores with a nice head shot.
Dunne throws a nice looking combination but Joe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dunne tries to clinch but Joe moves out of range.
Joe jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dunne. Joe does a little dance to reset his feet.
Joe throws a looping overhand right but Dunne ducks down to avoid it.
Dunne throws a shot from downtown. Joe moves away and avoids it.
Joe swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Dunne counters with a stiff right hand.


It looks like Ugly Kid Joe has been cut.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dunne.
Dunne pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Dunne throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dunne doesn't manage to clinch there - Joe circles away.
Joe misses with a looping left.
A head kick misses from Dunne.
Joe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dunne.
Joe cracks Dunne with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Joe throws a jab but it's blocked by Dunne.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Joe throws a big shot that misses.
Dunne throws a big shot that misses.
Joe fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dunne on the side of the head.
Joe looks to land a combination but Dunne avoids it well.
Nice defenses there by Dunne.
Dunne dodges the punch combination from Joe.
Joe throws a hook but Dunne avoids it easily.
Dunne misses the shot to the body.
Joe is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Dunne scores with a shot to the body.
Dunne chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Joe looks to land a left hand but Dunne moved out of range nicely.
Dunne lands a right hook to the body.
Dunne lands a leg kick that knocks Joe off balance momentarily.
Joe connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dunne momentarily.
Good leg kick by Dunne there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Joe is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dunne blocks a jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dunne scores with a jab.
Joe jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dunne throws a predictable looking body shot
and Joe counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dunne thinking.
Joe is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Dunne lands a nice hook to Joe's body. Joe takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Dunne dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dunne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Joe was well out of range. Poor timing from Dunne.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Joe crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dunne - the referee stops the clock and Joe gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dunne. Joe manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Joe takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dunne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Joe was well out of range. Poor timing from Dunne.
Dunne lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Dunne clinches.
Dunne will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Joe up against the cage.
Nice body punch from Dunne - that landed with a thud.
Dunne lands a nice shot to the body.
A nice left hand lands by Dunne.
Dunne throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Dunne lands a left hand that snaps the head of Joe backwards.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dunne is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Dunne lands with a short shot to the head.


Joe is rocked!
Dunne lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Joe to his knees! Dunne keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh Dunne!
